Wendy Lustbader , MSW, a nationally known author and speaker will offer support and practical advice to family caregivers during a three-hour workshop with family caregivers on November 15, 2002 at WHYY in Philadelphia. In planning the day, Ms. Lustbader stated "I want to mark the 25th Anniversary of Children of Aging Parents by suporting the family caregiver."
Ms. Lustbader is author of: Taking Care of Aging Persons, a practical guide for caregivers; Counting on Kindness, a sharing of the concerns of care recipients not often shared with caregivers; and, What's Worth Knowing, a collection of the most important lessons in life as identified by those in their seveneties, eighties and nineties.
Her work at the Pike Market Medical Clinic in Seattle, WA often presents the challenges of the chronically ill, the aging and those facing many challenges. Ms. Lustbader also serves on the faculty of the School of Social Work at the University of Washington.
This important caregiver event will begin at 8:15 AM on November 15, 2002 at WHYY, 150 North Sixth Street, Philadelphia, PA with a continental breakfast followed by CAPS annual caregiver recognition and then the three-hour workshop by Wendy Lustbader.
